We did room temperature bottles here too - I never warmed them up because I didn't want to have to deal with that on top of making a bottle all the time.

I think the thermos idea sounds great! I bet the water would stay nice and warm for you. Good luck!

I am not worried about room temp..the bottles will be in a cooler to keep them for the long trip...the nurse told me that I had to keep them chilled and they can only be out of the "fridge" for an hour or else they go bad...at the hospital they kept them out for up to 6 hours...

Buy one of these pyrex hotpacks and re-heat it whenever you stop. Put it in an insulated lunch box with the fresh bottle. You may waste a few if she doesn't drink them within a few hours, but even if it works once it will be worth it. (And they double as a nice hotpack when your neck hurts

I used to be able to keep bottles out in an cooler with a small ice pack for 6-8hrs no problem and at room temp for 2-4hrs, I think it was. Never had any problems. I think it all depends on who you talk to.

Sounds like you've gotten good advice already. I hope you have a great trip.

My vote is for the thermos!!
