  • Is it safe to have alcohol during pregnancy? 60% people says it effects the fetal development and increases the risk rate of diseases. 40% people says it protects the pregnant women from depression. Which one is true?

  • I have never heard either of those statements....I mean, serisouly? 40% says drink alcohol to keep from getting depressed during pregnancy?? Try reading the below and always talk to your doctor:

  • I heard drinking a glass of red wine is okay, but seriously, it's not neccessary nor would I really reccomend it. If you are worried about depression you can talk to your doctor and he/she could help you out with things that would be safer and okay for pregnant women to take.
    I wouldn't go by "hear say" until you talk it over with your doctor first.

    Also, if you ever have anything you need to vent/talk about you can always come here to talk. All the parents here have helped me out a lot when i've had things on my mind.

  • Um..alcohol is a depressent so how will it HELP depression. I don't think your stats are accurate. Every doctor I've ever had says that drinking even a small amount can have risks at any stage of pregnancy. Better safe then sorry is my motto.
