Sci project help- quick!

  • The project was to test if wire, paper clip, foil, and pencil lead would light a bulb. They had to write the results in a data table or chart (did it light the bulb, did it bend without breaking, etc.) This part was easy.

    The difficult question: In what other way could you have graphically represented the data you recorded in the Data Table?

  • What does the chart look like? Were there checks or "yes" or "no" questions?
    You could make a pie graph stating the percentage of the materials that lit the bulb/did all the other stuff you mentioned.
    You could make a venn diagram too.

  • She ended up writing "a bar chart" and left it at that.
    There was no numerical or variable data - just yes or no answers so there was no way of making another chart. If they had to check the current with a meter or something it would make sense to make a chart.

    I think the teacher did not read thru the instructions or he would have removed that question.
