Default slightly brown spotting at 12 weeks?

Hi ladies,
I am currently 12 weeks 2 days. Just as I was ready to break the news, I had some light spotting last night. Just a little brown discharge when I wiped a few times, but I'm scared. Called the on call doc at my practice but still haven't heard back. Has anyone else experienced this? Had a great ultrasound at 11 weeks and the heartbeat and baby looked great. Should I avoid exercise and intercourse?

I had spotting and then full-on bleeding at 13 weeks and it turned out to be nothing. I have a healthy almost 9-year-old to prove it. I would get in for an u/s asap though.
