Sore throat with no other symptoms Ask a Question Message Board

I've had a sore throat for 4 days. Not scratcy but hurts when I swallow. No other symptoms at all. Any ideas?

I had that a couple of weeks ago. I never got to the doctor with my crazy schedule but it came and went over a course of 2 weeks and I finally loked it up on WEBMD and one of the suggestions was an injury to my throat, which I think is was. I think I swallowed a small bone in some homemade turkey soup.
So if you can't think of anything that might have injured it I'd go see a doc.

I don't remember injuring it.

And my kids aren't sick so I don't think its contagous. (Rachel always drinks from my glass even if I tell her I'm sick.)

Sometimes when I breathe with my mouth open a lot, I get a sore throat. Maybe at night when you're sleeping or even during the day, you're doing that? Also, do you have allergies? Sometimes my throat hurts from drainage-- even if I don't feel stuffy, the doctor has told me that.
