  • I got some mosquito bites, was wondering what you all do to stop the itch... I know I could go and buy afterbite, but was wondering about all natural remedies... any ideas!

  • well, the best temporary relief is a cube of ice to the bite.

    But there are benedryl creams and hydrocortisone creams that'll work well too.

  • Garlic (slice open a clove and rub it on the bites)

    Apple Cider Vinegar (dab some on with a cotton ball)

    Frozen Banana Peel (it's a little late for that but save your peels and freeze them--rub the inside of the frozen peel on the bites)

    Pine-Sol (in a pinch, a dab of Pine-Sol helps, too--not recommended for kiddos)

    Good luck!!
Thank you Dopey406!

  • rub brandy on it

    I know it sounds funny but we did that as kids when we got bites (i know what you're thinking and no...we didn't take swigs of it

    )

  • you can also make a baking soda paste and apply that.

    the other 'home remedies' I wouldn't count on. But the Ice.. that'll work like a charm GUARANTEED.
