  • I just toss them in the wash with whatever color stuff the critter matches and then into the dryer.

The only things that get special treatment at our house are the boys' white blankets.

  • I throw them in the washer in a pillowcase , but I run them threw the spin cycle a few extra times to spin a little more water out before throwing them in the dryer.

  • Well... I wash Cabbage Patch Kids all the time. If they are not to bad, I let them soak in the kitchen sink in oxy clean. Then I ring them out, and step on them between two towels. I have used the wash machine, but I find it's a bit hard on their stuffing.

  • The main reason I do the pillowcase thing is because I've had both of two things happen before.

    1. The fur from the animal ends up all over the rest of the clothes and we walk around looking like a cat slept in all of our closets for two months.

    2. A snap/button/zipper/etc will snag the stuffed animal somewhere and besides the fact that my husband still kinda believes that stuffed animals "hurt" when ripped, the stuffing leaks out and the poor guy is just never the same again. The stuffed animal, that is...not DH.
