ONce at the grocery my favorite steaks were 1/2 off. Since I don't buy them normally ($$$$), I bought a bunch to freeze for nice dinners. I only buy for me and DH each meal -- the kids eat hotdogs. That day I got 8 so there were four meals of them. I think on steaks alone that day I saved about $40 from what the normal price would be.

Most weeks I save about $20 with instore savings. I don't do coupons. We don't get the paper, hence, no coupons.

I always make a list when I go grocery shopping, and always look carefully through their circular and write stuff (replace stuff) on my list which I need or can stock up on.
Usually grocery shopping I'm in the $15-20 range.

I'm really really CHEAP buying clothes! I seldom buy anything unless it's on sale or marked down. My kids only get "full price" stuff when I buy them something special for pictures or for a special event/holiday!

I now save 50 dollars a week by doing the grocery shopping at Walmart instead of Harris Teeter. That adds up to 200 dollars a month.

No coupons...just the switch. 50 dollars.
