Assuming you were planning on getting the H1N1 vaccine....

I found out that the county will have a clinic on Thurs at a park near me. As the vax is still in short supply, only those in the high-risk groups will be given shots & the rest have to wait until they produce more. My girls fall into the right groups but I don't. But if I had a child under 6mo (or cared for a child under 6mo) I would be elegible.

I'm very tempted to lie and say I have a baby at home. The chances of them having the shots available later aren't high, & I expect it to be like the shortage 5yrs ago when they ended up throwing out supply when the high-risk groups didn't use it up. And if I have to wait in line for my kids, I don't want to have to do it again for myself - thats just a PITA. And (another excuse

I wouldn't lie... I guess I would suck it up and wait....

I wouldn't lie, but I would talk to them when you are getting your DD's done and tell them that when you get sick you tend to get sicker than usual and see what they say. It's worth a shot.

I wouldn't lie. My DH waited with me and DD for the shots and he didn't get one because he didn't feel right about it.... and I commended him for that decision.

Well I will be the bad one and say, LIE! You wont be the first and you wont be the last!!!
