Yes. it's not about the gift whatsoever.

I just find it weird that they bought my mother a gift card and me nothing. They saw it all go down- so they know that's what happened. Plus, like I said, they had dh alone after the party so the could have then said "crap! we mixed up the cards/gift/etc." If they didn't want to do gifts, wouldn't have been just as easy to get us both nothing?

We have a really small family so everyone gets everyone something small for holidays.

I find that very very strange unless your MIL and your mother are best friends or something.

Oh I'd bring it up, that is not very nice, IMO - to buy your mom a gift but not you (the mother of their grandchildren, if Im reading this right!) Its not the gift that matters, its the point and that to me is hurtful, and My mom probably would toss the darn gift if my MIL did that! sorry I feel bad for you b/c I would be hurt if it was me -- huggggsss--- inlaws suck!

I'm surprised DFIL shared a dinner table with you after the last fiasco. LOL!

What idiots!!!

That is rude and unacceptable to me. Even a preschooler knows that if you don't have one for everyone then you don't give something to a few people. All the Mom's should have been given something or none of them IMO.

I agree its rude but I also think that after all this time and so many things your in-laws have done, you need to accept they are not going to change and not let it offend you.

They are the ones looking rude and insensitive, not you and what they do doesn't change who you are.
