We don't get comments either way. Rachel, Michael, Danielle. Pretty common names with traditional spellings, not much to remark on.

The only hard time I have gotten is about the pronunciation of Adrianna. I think it is nice that they ask "Is it Adri-an-na or Adri-ahn-na"; however when I tell them that it doesn't really matter, that I leave it up to Adrianna to choose, they get in a tizzy. For some reason people seem to think that I need to choose for her and make up her mind. I personally pronouce it Adri-an-na, but Adrianna herself pronounces it Adri-ahn-na.

Speak of the devil...here she comes

That is funny because I have a Kindergartener in my class who told me very matter of factly it was (Arianna) Ari-ah-na when I said Ari-anna. SO I corrected myself and made sure to pronounce it the correct way. Then her dad comes to pick her up from school and shouts out Ari-anna! I am like WTH!?!?

We catch a lot of grief because we spelled DD name Aryiana instead of Arianna. My own mother tells me all the time that she is going to take her to the courthouse so she can have her name legally changed. She goes by her nickname Ana.
