Do you use white or multi colored? White on the house, w/ a white tree on the lawn and multi-color train that was given to us for FREE!

Do they twinkle? No

I prefer white but since having kids I figured they prefer multi.

White that don't move! I can't stand multi colored lights and ones that flash make me sick when I'm not pg! My inlaws use colored flashing lights and I can't stand to be in the same room as their tree! I'm debating asking them ahead of time to turn off the flash this yr so I don't throw up! They have all these different strings on different rhythms and its enough to make anyone have a seizure!

we have multi colored and I HATE blinking (that does look trashy to me)

I don't like white because all I can think of is people who use those are trying to be 'elegant' and not 'merry'.

But I specifically choose NOT to have an elegant tree. I have a great many elegant ornaments (many handmade) but the tree is very hodgepodge and festive and it 'works' much moreso than a 'forced' theme IMHO.

Do you use white or multi colored? On the tree- I have used both. I think last year we did white. Outside we have both. My Dh loves lighting up the outside...if I let him he would do even more than what we already have.
