Yep the polling place is less than a mile from my house. I got there at 6:40 and had to wait till almost 8 AM to actually vote.

I was concerned yesterday that traffic was going to be horrid- and it is, but the sheriff was at least slowing people down and keeping the crazy to a minimum.)

I am going after work today. If I had went in the morning, I would have been late to work and had to make up time. And my work is no where near my voting precint, so I can't go during lunch. I was disappointed to find out the company I work for doesn't give employees paid-time to go vote like the company I worked at during the last presidential vote. Hopefully I won't be in line forever!
