Default Moving Furniture in Little Girls Room

I have a question for you guys,

We have a 21 month old daughter. She currently sleeps in a room that consists of a set of (guest) bedroom furniture and her crib. We are selling the bedroom set and will soon be buying her some new stuff of her own.

My question is this weekend when we move the furniture out should we keep her around so she can see what happens so the empty room isn't a shock or should we keep her at a relatives and just let he be surprised?

I agree that it would depend on the child. My children would have loved to stick around but it would drive me crazy.

Update:

We decided to keep her around to see everything that was going on. She ended up trying to help and got in the way a lot, but it was all worth it. She was very proud that she was able to "help" and she loves her new room! Now the only problem is trying to get her to fall asleep in there now that she knows most of her toys are in there too!
