how do you do gifts at your house. this is ava's first xmas that she is understandign stuff. do you have a few presents from santa, and then a few from you, or what. my mom always did just sants gifts, but as i got older i wondered why my parents did not get me anything? just curious how you all do it

We do gifts from Santa at our house. All other gifts at other people's homes are from "real" people.

Andy and I exchange gifts for each other, from each other in front of the girls. This year I'm also going to ask the girls to use some of their own envelope money to buy a gift for the other sister.

Santa leaves presents unwrapped for the kids. Presents from us to the kids and from each other are wrapped.

Last year, I bought an outfit for Kaitlyn that came from us...usually clothes are from us. Everything else was from Santa and wrapped. Everything was from Santa when I was little and it was all wrapped. I was oblivous b/c I never thought why my parents didnt get me anything. I personally rather have everything wrap b/c it builds up the excitement watching the girls open up their gifts.
