Baby girl name.. Baby Names Message Board

My husband and I are thinking of naming our baby girl Teaghan Jo but everytime someone asks and I mention that is a possibility..they all have a negative comment and then start asking if i have baby name books or suggested other names..I have 2 boys that start with the same letter but i don't like any girl names that start with that so I'm not going to keep that..Is Teaghan too boyish??

This is exactly why alot of people keep their names a secret until the baby is born- too many people give opinions! It is YOUR baby and you and your hubby should name her whatever YOU want to. You might just want to keep it a secret from now on! If anyone asks just say that you have some ideas, but that you want to keep it as a surprise. Congrats on your baby girl and welcome!!

Nobody will say they hate the name when you introduce your baby to them as Teaghan Jo. I don't think it's boyish. I've only heard of Teagan (the more conventional spelling) referenced as a girls' name. It's not my style as I tend to be more traditionally minded, but it's not bizarre either.
