When we first told everyone we had named our newborn daughter Charlotte Helen, we got lots of crazy looks and requests to change it because it's not as popular as other names. I even considered changing it to a more "acceptable" name, but it turns out that she fits her name to a tee and it's given new life to an older, less-popular name.
 


If you like those names, GO FOR IT!!

I love the name Gavin. And you're correct, this baby is your's, not your parents; besides, they will love them no matter what you end up naming them, even if they don't like it at first..it will grow on them.
