It looks cute but I think it'll be mispronounced his whole life. I mispronounced it when I first saw it and pronouncing it the way you wrote it makes it seem like it should be Maureen (a gir's name).

Sounds too much like Maureen for me-seems very feminine fro a boy (just my opinion).

I think it is definatly different, Does it have meaning to you? Like part of someone elses name? If so then it will always be special and I bet nobody else will have the same name.
