Hey everyone, im a new father, with my girlfriend being 15 weeks along now. I am only 21, she being 19, so we're both young and inexperienced in the whole parenting thing. For a while now, we have have had a girl named picked out(the sex has yet to be determined obviously, but just today agreed on a boy name. Please let me know what you think of these names, and provide their meanings to us.

For a girl, the name is Cecilia Rae. It comes from my girlfriends grandfathers name, which is Cecil(pronounced see-sull), and the middle name from my grandfather Raymond(my middle name is Raymond also).

The boy name is Braylen Michael. Michael is her fathers name. Kevin is my dads name, but it doesn't sound good with anything as a middle name.

Also keep in mind, my last name, Thomas, will be used. So please let me know what you think, good or bad. Thanks!!

I like Braydon or Bradley better then Braylen. Also I've only heard Braylen for a girl. I think Kevin Michael is a nice name or Braydon Michael.
I like Cecilia Rae. It's very pretty and flows nicely with Thomas.

Welcome to TBC

First off, remember that nobody has to like your child's name except you and your wife. What other people think is not really important, as it's your baby and your choice.

But since you asked

...

I really like Cecilia Rae. Cecilia is not a common name, but it's pretty and traditional, so you shouldn't need to spell it all the time.

Braylen is not really my style. It's one of those cobbled-together random names that has become popular in the last 5-10 years. Obviously that sort of trendy name will be pretty well accepted since it is popular, but I am fonder of traditional names.

Congratulations on your little one. Whatever name you decide will be the right one for your child.

to TBC and congratulations on your new little guy/gal.

I'm with Rudi--Cecilia is a beautiful name and Rae is MY middle name so I'm particularly fond of that one.

And Braylen is also not my style but if you like it, go for it.

Also I think Braylen is a cute name and goes well with your middle name you have for a boy as well.
