When my SIL was pg she wouldn't tell anyone what they were naming the baby (either time) just because she didn't want to hear any crap. I agree. The name is your choice, and nobody else gets a vote.

Gus is one of those names like Sam, that used to be mostly found on old plumbers, but now sounds fresh and cute. On a baby, it'd be adorable. Just make sure he keeps his diaper pulled up

BTW, DH and I have held back a bit talking about our chosen name (Marek). Certain people, like my mother, will be really annoying about it, so we aren't telling those people.
