We've had good luck with Dr. Brown's with the premie nipple and the upright sideline position. The nipple is a little stiffer than most brands so she has to suck. It's the only thing I've found that doesn't drown her.

Oh I forgot to say that we used dr, browns too.

We actually stopped nursing at 1 week old because she wouldnt latch and would get very frustrated. I pumped but would only get 0.5 ounce out of each breast and would have to supplement with formula so we thought it was best to just give formula.
Its not the formula that she doesnt like and its not the position its just that she spits so much out at each feeding. Its the flow of the nipple. Its to fast but it is the slowest I have found. We have not tried Dr browns yet but I will be going to get some tomorrow for sure. thanks everyone!

sounds just like B's problem-- he was drowning bc he was Sucking so hard on the nipple... we went to bottles only also- and it took him a few weeks to get the hang of it! It was the flow for him too--

but Presley needs to adjust her sucking as well

and that just takes some time too-- unless she does have some sort of issue-- try the dr. browns, give it a week- and if she doesnt adjust I would bring it up to your ped....

When we weren't nursing, we used Dr. Brown's as well. There were also bottles that came with the breast pump and we sometimes used those. They were made by Medela, and I am pretty sure they sell extra nipples by themselves. Maybe could try out those nipples with one of the bottle bases you aleady have?
