Default Glass bottles vs. plastic

I have a 3 month old and recently became interested in the whole going green trend. I know organic products are supposed to be better for you, especially kids, so I started doing some research. I found this book called "Healthy Baby Happy Home" online at healthybabyhappyhome.com that really helped a lot. The author gives lists of products he actually tried and suggests buying. I tried switching out some of the products I normally buy for with organic ones and so far, things are going great. My daughter drinks just as well from her new glass bottles and silicon nipples as she did with the plastics. Glass bottles are better because they are BPA-free so you can be assured your baby is not ingesting anything other than the milk in the bottle. The book also suggested using silicon nipples instead of rubber or plastic ones because they are less likely to harbor bacteria. I highly recommend this book if you are looking to go organic. I am using Dr. Brown's glass bottles but if anyone has a suggestion for another brand they have tried and liked I would love to hear it!

Well - I saw a glass bottle at Target today that you could buy a silicone "shell" for - not sure what the brand was (maybe Munchkin?)

The only thing I was afraid of was DS throwing the glass bottle (he was a hold it yourself kind of baby) and the bottle shattering (or breaking at all for that matter)

Do the Dr. Brown's glass have the round disk and the tube piece in them like the Dr. B plastic bottles? DD started on Dr. B premie plastic bottles with silocone nipples in the hospital. We like them but are hard to find now that she's up above 4 ozs.
