Question Playtex Drop Ins

Hi... I have a family child care & just got a 2mo baby who uses the playtex drop ins.

I LIKE THEM... & she does well with them etc. But I have a question for anyone who uses/used them...

What I've been doing is taking the nipple & ring off and CAREFULLY pushing most of the air out, replacing the nipple/ring & squeezing some more air out by slowly pushing up on the drop-in part.

Is this how YOU do it... is there a faster, better way???

Her mom says she doesn't bother pushing the air out... but I've tried it both ways with the baby (air out & air in) and she drinks the bottle a little easier/quicker & has less gas when I push most of the air out.

Just wondering if there was a BETTER way... don't wanna invent the wheel 2ce!!

We used them too and I loved them!!! We did not try to get the extra air out BUT we stopped shaking and used a knife or fork to stir and get the clumps out. We noticed a huge difference in the gas when we stopped shaken. So, we were a "stirred not shaken" family

Mom actually pre-makes the bottles for me (probably the night before... she's here pretty early in the AM).

So I just have to take them out of the fridge & warm them up... which is nice!

i never took the air out, just made sure the nipple was full of formula before putting it in baby's mouth and he wasn't gassy.
