I use a loosly wadded paper towel to do it. This way you can still push the air out easily if you burp the baby when the bottle is halfway done. Oh, and I use the target brand drop in liners. They work just as well (no leaks yet) and are cheaper!

It only takes about 10 seconds to push the air out, but sometimes you do need to use something longer than a finger to help the air out.

I have 4 children and use the playtex ones for all of them, they are the only ones I used...I love them!

We had been using them with our new baby but after reports surfaced that they contained BPA's I tossed them all out and now use the Born Free bottles which you can't push the air out of but DD doesn't seem to be bothered with gas.

The parts that come into contact with the milk are bpa free
