Exclamation 1 hard knot tried everything HELP

I've been breastfeeding for 9 months. I woke up this morning and my right boob had a hard knot in it, like one of the glands are engorged. I've let the baby feed on that boob all day, and it still won't go down. It's like it got stopped up. On top of that now I have what looks like a blister on the end of my nipple, so it hurts to continue to let him eat from that boob.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I've also been massaging it (which just makes it hurt worse), and I've tried to pump.
Please help, thank you.

a warm compress sometimes helps as well. massaging and the warm compress and continued nursing is all that you really can do.
(don't neglect your other side, though,- you do need to keep nursing on the other side too)

try the warm compress while nursing also and if it's not down soon call your doctor.

can you hand express? pressing on the knot while expressing can help. if it's too hard to do it by yourself you can have someone press against the knot while you express (or pump). good luck!
