Question aaaarrrrrggggg!!!!!..............

LOL, now that I look at that thread title, I have to giggle.

Anyways. I am having a ton of problems getting my letdown to happen with my pump. I currently am using the Ameda Purely Yours on loan from my SIL while I wait for a replacement part for my PIS Traveller. The first night that I used it (I pump before bed, seems like the only time that I can really get a chance to sit down and pump both sides at once...lol) it worked excellent. Took about 10 minutes before letdown happened, but then was able to pump about 4 oz total. Every night since......pretty much nothing. Takes me almost 30 minutes to get just 2 oz and that is without my letdown at all. Am I doing something wrong?? I am totally relaxed and comfortable, I have a tape of the sounds that Kaden makes when he eats (noisy little boy....hahaha), look at a picture of him every now and then (don't want to overload my senses tho, then I just start to get frustrated and that doesn't work for me).

Anyone have any suggestions?? I am still gonna go thru the motions every night in hopes that I get something cuz I really need to build a freezer stash.

TIA

I would suggest a nice quiet room with soft lighting and while you pump, think of your warm sweet baby nuzzling up to you. You can also smell one of your baby's blankies! I hope that helps.

I have the same pump. My g/f gave it to me. Yea, you need to relax. Usually I get a letdown w/in a few minutes of pumping. GL!

I have had a similar problem too. I am using a manual pump though.

My letdown doesn't usually happen for 10-15 min, and lately, I haven't been able to achieve one.
