My girls are realy sensitive tot he cows milk protein. and they have severe constiaption, to the point that my 2 yp has seen severeal specialists and a surgeon to see fi they can find out what to do.

On that note. any one else in the family have things like IBS with constipation? That can be ingheridted and the use of cows milk may make it rear its ugly head.

Good luck and just don let anyone telly ou it is normal for a child to strain when they poop and for them to cry. they do have meds out there that you can give them if they cant poop.

As far as the karo goes, it works like a ream inthis house for emma. She gets about 1 tbsp with ever solid food meal she eats.

Good luck
Melissa

Seems to me if cow's milk causes problems the best solution is not to feed your baby cow's milk, at least for now.

I'm pumping/nursing and when my supply got low we started to add a few ounces of milk over last few weeks (Morgan turned 1 today) and she didn't poop for 5 days. ugh! She was fine, but I know that can't be good for their little tummies. Now she is cutting more teeth she's been snotty and pooping up a storm. She has her 1 yr check up Thu and going to check with doc again. Last time their only response was to add more fruit/juice which is what we had already done. Good luck!
