You can get the nipple shields at Babies R Us where all the nursing stuff is. Me and Kendall couldn't get the hang of the football hold or the lying-down hold, so at night I would just get up and go sit on the couch with like always. There is no rule book that says nighttime nursing has to be done in bed. It freaked me out anyways too, about the possibly falling asleep on top of her, so I didn't mind when she didn't latch on in the position.

Glad the water seems to be helping! I have to force myself to drink a lot too or I would forget.

im glad the water is working I would always have dh bring me a cup of ice water after I sat to nurse that way he was a part of it in some way! lol When Lincoln was real little I would sit up in bed at night to nurse him because I did not want to sufficate him either but I did lay in bed while awake and nurse him just to get relaxed but dont do it if your real tired becasue you could relax to much and fall asleep. but once the baby is bigger it wont be as mush as an issue.

let us no how it goes with the shields if you get them.
