my dr put me on the nuva ring. only because i got my period already and that was like 2 months after i had andy i cant take the pills cuz i forget to take them so with the nuva ring it stays in for 3 weeks and then you take it out for 1 week and its safe for breastfeeding.

You can take what they call POP's or Progesterone Only Pills. I took them for the first month of nursing and had no problems but you have to take them at the same time everyday for them to be effective because of the low dose. I could never remember to take it let a lone on time so I just quit taking them and use other bc methods. But it did not mess with my supply at all.
