Default Birth Control Question

What do you guys use for birth control? I can't rely on breastfeeding because, with my luck, I'll be blessed with another little one that I can't really afford right now. I'd prefer to avoid condoms, but I don't want to quit breastfeeding. Any suggestions?

You could try the minipill. Worked fine, but made me sick

I tried the minipill while breastfeeding my second child, and my milk dried right up. If you have problems maintaining a milk supply, then I wouldn't recommend the minipill. But I hear that most women don't have a problem with it.

What about sponges or the diaphram?

I have a Mirena "installed" (for want of a better word!) It works great and has the bonus side-effect of no more AF!

We rely on breastfeeding, but we're also not unprepared for another baby. We tried for about 9-10 months to have a second child and I didn't get pg until 4 weeks after I stopped nursing--so it seems to be pretty reliable for me. And we've been going without protection this time around for several months already and still no BFP.

Good luck.
