Question Bottles

What kind of bottles do you use to feed your little one when your not nursing?

My mom is going to watch Preston for an hour every Tuesday so I can go with Cora to a playgroup. I want to start leaving her with a bottle just in case. He hasn't had a bottle yet, but I figure if he feels like he's dying at least she has something to try. I have an avent bottle and some platex vent-airs.

I use Avent bottles with a Nuk nipple. (I'm aware of the BPA)

I used Second Nature when I had Ashley - we started at 2 weeks old. Make sure you try bottles BEFORE the big day - some babies flat out refuse.

Second Nature has a nipple with about 20 tiny holes - to simulate your boob and breast feeding - worked great for me until she got teeth. Hope this helps.

L has decided she hates the wider nipples on the avent-- so I tossed all of them, and got the cheapy gerber ones that are BPA free-- she is doing well with them.

I'll have to try one of those out Kelli. I doubt Preston will take a bottle - he won't take a pacifier either. I always feed him right before I drop him off at my mom's, but just want to make sure she has something just in case.
