Im going to be going to school for nursing, hopefully to specialize in OB and I can understand the patience thing. Having been a sickly child and even into adulthood, I dont have patience with a lot of nurses! I have had some amazing nurses in my life, and the OB nurses i have had so far, I have loved! But, I get very very very bad and touchy. Esp when it comes to IVs... I refuse to let nurses stick me for an IV more than once. If you cant get it on the first try, you better call for someone, because if you keep poking me, I will get meeeeeeeeeean!!! So, im sure that I would be the same way and ask straight up for a LC in the hosp only b/c I dont want to hurt anyones feelings lol!!!

My embarassing confession...I never let DH near that part of me becasue they were way too sensitive until after I BF 2 babies & they toughened up.

Anyway...I think its likely going to be a different feeling when that baby is nursing, kwim? All you can do is try...and if you don't like it than don't BF and don't make yourself feel bad if that is what you decide. We have to do what is right for ourselves as much as for our children.

I'm sure you'll be able to get a Lactation Consult in the hospital, however, most of the "help" you will get for feedings are from your OB/Nursery nurses...
