Thumbs down Breastfeeding non-stop

I'm trying to breast feed on demand, but the demand is VERY high. Honestly this little guy of mine wants to feed all the time. He's constipated and very gassy so I think his tummy is upset.

He hasn't pooped since we left the hospital Wednesday morning. The ONLY thing that keeps him from crying is nursing. He won't take a pacifier and doesn't let us put him down at all. What else can I do? I hope he's able to poop soon so he can go back to his happy easy going self!

you can always stick a thermometer with a little ky jelly on the end in his rectum (like checking his temp) and try to stimulate him to poop... just move it around in circles and it should stimulate him....

A breastfed baby doesn't often become constipated, so I'm guessing that's not the issue. I'm guessing that he's gassy. Instead of nursing him, try putting him belly-to-belly with you in the Baby Bjorn or holding him with his belly against your forearm. I had this problem with Marek, and those two solutions helped quite a bit.
