I lost weight very quickly after having both my kids and I can only assume it's from breastfeeding and forgetting to eat properly. When my DD was 2 months old I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight. I also found that I was ravenously hungry for the first 8 or 9 months of breastfeeding but as long as I didn't overdo it, it was fine weight-wise.

I have always lost a large portion of my pgncy weight (30lbs) within two weeks of giving birth. Then I get stuck and can't lose anymore- but I also get very hungry and don't really watch what I'm eating so that's probably the problem!! LOL
I started eating MUCH healthier and exercising this past week or so and have dropped 8 lbs. I think bf'ing has alot to do with it?

I didn't lose my pregnancy weight with my first ds until after he was 9 months old... then the weight just started dropping (too fast!) I got really, really thin.... and started to look like I was anorexic.

I think that had to do with the amount of stress I was under as well as the added calories I was burning while breastfeeding. (I tend not to eat well when I'm stressed out).
With Elijah (2nd ds) I lost the weight more quickly but maintained a healthy weight better.
I think the most important difference between breastfeeding and not, is getting your uterus back down to size... If you weren't breastfeeding you would probably have more of a belly
but maybe not be any heavier anywhere else.
