Default Chocolate

What effects, if any, does chocolate have on the baby? Should I not be eating it? I've been a chocolate junkie since Christmas and it occured to me today that it may not be the best thing for Baby Gus!

Some people say it can give the baby gas, but with my 3 I ate and still eat chocolate all the time and it has never affected any of them. My mom give me a hard time everytime she sees me eating it, Does Gus seem to be haveing any issues with his tummy? If not I don't think I would worry about it.

Yeah, he's been a little gassy the last day or so, that's probably what it is then.

It's ok, I can give up that sweet, sinful delight, lol!

My OB/GYN told me, while I was pregnant, that she had heard that chocolate caused colic. And I lived on chocolate throughout my pregnancies and afterwards and my kids had not even the smallest touch of colic. I guess you have to try eliminating it and see if it helps. I hope it's not that though!

Take it out of your diet and see if that helps. It won't be forever! You can always try adding it back into your diet in a few weeks/months and see how he reacts.

I developed quite the sweet tooth with Rhiannon and she was never colicky.
