Default Chronic clog

I have one nipple pore that seems to be clogged constantly. There is always a white head/pimple-like head on it and even though ds is a great eater it doesn't always clear during a feeding. The result is a painful duct. If it is still clogged after a feed I have been gently clearing it myself and expressing milk manually until it feels better (usually the milk expresses itself once the pressure is released!)
Any advice? I tried leaving it alone for a while-the result was a super painful clogged duct.

It sounds like a milk blister, had it with #3 and it was pretty darn painful. Just keep doing what you are doing. If it gets to painful or annoying you might try talking to your dr. I read some where that they can poke it with a sterile needle. The milk gets trapped behind the skin that grew over a previously open hole. Keeping the skin "open" over the spot is what will help eventually clear it up. It took a long while for mine to go away, I am talking several weeks.

I am not sure about milk blisters, but when I had clogged ducts my LC had me take Soy Lechtithin - 1200 mg. 3 times a day and it did help. Supposedly it lubes you up from the inside out- it is what is in cooking sprays lol! Good luck!
