Question He bites

and he only has 2 little teeth that aren't all the way in yet! My little guy has his 2 bottom teeth and he's already started biting. What's the best way to handle this? He's only 5 and a half months old so telling him no, etc. probably isn't going to sink in. Any suggestions? I can't imagine the pain from him biting once he gets his top teeth too!

With my oldest, I yelped "ouch" and ended the feeding twice. He cried, I cried, and it was over... we bf'ed until 9 months (when I had to stop so we could ttc).
With my youngest, who got teeth very early, I tried all of those and he never did learn to stop biting me. I stopped bf'ing around 7 months because of it.
I hope you have good luck with getting the baby to stop biting you.

Hi Jen. This happened to me with Ava. I just said "no" firmly, but not too loud as to scare her, and removed her from my breast for a minute or two. I dont think Preston's too young for "no". He won't understand the word, but will understand your tone and the fact that you are removing what he wants. Good luck!
