Default I think I figured something out!!

The last couple of days when Gus nurses he gets very irritated. Not every single time but at least 2 times a day. He does what someone in another post called "bops all around on my breast", he'll pull off and latch back on, hit his face all over me, pinch me with his little fingers, I mean he is really ticked! He makes this awful noise the whole time he's doing that too. Not really a scream, but more like a really loud whine. So last night, or actually this morning about 2am he was doing that again. Only this time he was unconsolable! Finally I took him off and held him close and was patting his back while shhhhushing him. Guess what? He let out the LOUDEST burp!!! So I kept doing it and he burped 2 more times! I guess it's gas causeing him to act that way? What do ya'll think?

Sounds like gas..

He wants to eat but the gas is making it uncomfy for him.. Some BF babies rarely burp ( DS was like this) but some need to burp because they take in too much air..

I had EXACTLY the same issue with Marek, and he was the hardest to burp. Seriously, sometimes we'd have to bang on his back for 10 minutes to fix it!!!

You know, I have the same problem with Laela and I don't even nurse her. Sometimes I will hold her close to my skin or against my breast and she does the head bob thing and that crazy whine sound. It's like she needs to suck, but just can't figure it out (she sucks my arm and sometimes goes for my breast). And her EXACT problem is needing a burp, too. She's a formula and bottle fed baby, but rarely burps.
