I think Erin is done breastfeeding (she is 7 months). We have been supplementing with formula during the day (by choice) and she is even beginning to push away her bottle before she finishes. In the morning she rarely feeds more than a few minutes and I have not been able to get her to feed on both sides during a feeding in over a month. I guess she is just getting to the time when her solids are taking over her calorie intake. I am a bit sad, but I am glad that it lasted this long! I think this is a good time for us to wean now that she has taken the lead on it.

Curious as to when you started supplementing formula during the day?

L is 4 mos old-- and by choice, i'm supplementing formula during the day also-- BF'ing 3 times still a day-- in the morning, then her next 2 feeds.... then bottles after 2pm..... seems to be working well for us... and not noticing any supply issues for when I am feeding....

Thanks- not hijacking at all!
We were doing one bottle of ebm/day starting from about a month and moved that bottle to formula around 4 months (I stopped pumping the bottles around 3 and a half months). At around 6 months we moved to bf in morning and bed and 2 bottles of formula during the day.
