It might be the nursing to sleep.

Babies start realizing their surroundings at a point and for many if not most, they get a little freaked when the way the fell asleep isn't the way they find themselves later on.
(and if you think about it, I do to --- I expect to be exactly where I was when I fell asleep when I wake up) This is why it is commonly suggested to let babies fall asleep on their own.
But that sort of transition in and of itself takes a week minimum usually to get to....


This was your advice for Marilyn yesterday. Last night I nursed Aedan at 8pm and then let him play for another 20 minutes before his book reading. Gave him his woobie and put him in his crib. He moved around and gabbed for a bit and then fell asleep... FOR 10 HOURS!!!
 

 


Thank you!! That is the first straight 8 hours I got since Mother's Day!! I hope he keeps it up.

It worked great for me and all the people who've followed that that I know as well.
