Default lazy latch :(

miss lyla is getting lazy with her latching and it's starting to HURT! I keep correcting her, but it takes a few times and she keeps bobbing off.....

My engorgement is finally gone and I feel so much better now-- but I know I do have a quick let down-- she gurgles a bit and swallows fast and I think she's still getting used to that-- occasionally she coughs a bit too....

I recline a bit, and keep correcting her latch, and pretty much we are both most comfortable with the cradle or cross cradle hold-- dont seem very comfy with the football hold at all....

Any other suggestions about what is causing her to clamp my nipple

and anything else I should be doing about it?

I'm not sure why that might be happening - I never had this issue with Marek. But one thing that might help you get a good latch on the first try is to compress your breast with your hand a little bit to conform it to the shape of her mouth before you latch her on. Because I'm pretty big-chested, I had to do that consistently to give my boy a fighting chance to get a good latch.

just make sure you keep correcting her so that she does not make a habbit of the bad latching, insted of the good latching.
