See Karen that's really interesting to me since all of my children have had runny diapers.

Thumbs up Not Diaper Rash if more than 36 hours!

Here's an interesting fact most people dont know: if your baby's "diaper rash" continues without improving at all for more than 36 hours, its almost certainly not diaper rash. There are many skin issues than can seem like diaper rash, but diaper rash will almost always get better within 36 hours. If it lasts longer, it could be yeast or it could be something completely different.

I've also been reading about pH levels in soiled diapers, and how they injure a baby's skin. I've been using "BabyPaste5.0" because it protects pH levels. It's worked great for me so far...

It's like a big puzzle trying to pinpoint the cause of something, and it could take awhile. Calling the doctor is sensible. Keep tabs on things you eat that may trigger a rash, and even the diaper brands. A&D diaper rash ointment is what I used to use on my babies after every diaper change. Good luck!

when my son had a rash I would clean him in a warm bath every other diaper. I would not use soap everytime but just let him soak a few min in a warm bath and then I would pat him dry and let him air dry a bit and then put on the desitin or A&D and when I did not put him in the tub I used water and wash cloths to clean him up and let him air dry a few min before putting on the diaper. and I would only use the desitin every over time so that the rash had some time to dry out.
