Default think i have a cold...

i have had a headache all day...and now a sore throat.

i assume that Lola will get sick as well...great

i took a robitussin honey cough drop and then after it was gone realized that maybe i should have looked to see if there were any directives towards bf moms..and of course, there are.

it says to check with doc if pg or bf...do you guys think these are ok to take?

also, what kind of OTC meds can i take while bf?

cough drops are okay to take... at least we tell our pt's they can!

i don't think you'll find one medication period that doesn't have "check with a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding" on it

feel better soon

Robitussin is one that is ok when Breastfeeding. I had to take it. And she won't necessarily get sick. You are passing on your antibodies to her. Your immune system is kicking into overdrive and she's getting the benefit.

thanks gals.

well, i am def. sick. i woke up with a HORRIBLE sore throat and headache. so far, she does not show any symptoms, but i do notice that she sounds alittle "snorty" when she first starts to nurse. i tried using the bulb syringe, but got nothing.

i was wondering what doctor to call...so, i called her pedi and asked what meds i can take whiel bf. i am now waiting for a response.

don't forget to keep drinking LOTS of fluids.
The more you drink, the faster it'll move thru your system.
