It gets better, honestly it does. There are those dreaded growth spurts where they seem to be feeding non-stop for 24 hours but 'this too shall pass'. I'm feeling a little frazzled myself because DD has a cold and we're staying with friends and she just started daycare so it seems like she's nursing half the night for comfort, but I know it's temporary, we'll get back to normal and maybe one day she'll even wean

It will get better, hang in there (easier said than done when you have other kids who need you and chores that need to be done, etc.)! But it does eventually improve (says the woman typing 1-handed cos she's holding her sleeping child!

Ladies, thank you so much for all your help- I appreciate it so much!! You guys are the best!!

I took Nicholas to the dr today for his 4 week check and he's doing splendidly!! He's 25" long and weighs 13 lbs 1oz

(11lbs 4oz at his 1 week check), so I know he's doing well and all those "long hours" I'm putting in are, indeed, for a very good reason. The dr also recommended a pacifier so I have it sterilized and ready to go (but feeling a bit guilty). LOL

I know what you mean- I can barely post a reply lately for fear of knocking Nicholas off the boob! So I just sit...and read...and wait til he's finished so I can get a few words in.
