We have a upcoming trip that we are all excited for to meet up with some out-ot-town, extended family. My in-laws offered to pay the hotel room, or else we probably would not be going. I've never been to where we are going even though it is not that far, so it will be a new experience.

I am excited because we rarely go out of town and work has been so crazy it will be nice to get away, even if it just for a few days. But I am nervous because since the in-laws are paying, we were not included in the hotel choice. I found out the name and address of the place today and looked it up. It is more a motel and I read some pretty bad reviews that were recent. (bugs, dirty, rude employees, nasty pool)

Guess I need to make sure we pack extra sheets, our own pillows (sometimes we forget in the rush, but this time they are going in the car FIRST), antibactierial wipes, air freshner, bug-killing spray, and maybe even some shower mildew spray. Oh, and bedroom slippers/socks for everyone. Anything else you guys can think of?

And of course I am nervous about traveling with the baby; he doesn't seem to travel well. Last time we drove somewhere that was 2 hours away, he cried almost the whole way! Hopefully he will sleep for most of this trip!
