Gross, but I'm pleased with myself

  • I have these nasty skin tags that drive me crazy. Lukas nearly ripped one off my neck on Monday when we went to the inflatables play place, and it just would not stop bleeding. And I have another big nasty one in my right armpit that I cut while shaving all the time.

So I finally got fed up the other day. I sterilized the crap out of a pair of sharp scissors, numbed them with ice and cut the damn things off. I was scared to death, and it took me forever to get the right angle with the scissors because of where they were located, but I finally got it done.

  • Ouch! I have one of those under my arm. I don't cut it shaving but I hate the thing. I have wanted to see a doctor to have it removed.

  • Glad it worked out. My derm actually didn't want to remove mine since they bleed like crazy. I was anemic at the time.

I hate them too. I have been finding them over the past few years. Not cool.

  • Wow--you're brave! I had some skin tags removed at the dermatologist's office a few years ago. I was numbed and they used a little scissor and cauterized after they were done so they wouldn't bleed.

I don't think I'd have the stones to do it myself.
