  • I can't remember if I told you guys this or not, but at the begining of the school year Kaydence wanted to join the Daisies, she and Leslie went to the intitial meeting and the first thing they did was announce the leader had dropped out and asked for any volunteers. Leslie stepped up to the plate and became troop leader for a new troop.

It's been really great for her. As a stay at home mom it's almost not worth if for her to work (we did the math and with child care, etc. we'd net almost nothing and probably go up a tax bracket) so this really gave her something to do, be proud of, and gets her out of the house. More importantly I've really seen her grow as a person and a parent having that extra responsibility.

They recently celebrated the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts and made a wagon for the parade competition. They came in Third out of over 100 entries (Daisies, Brownies, and Girl Scouts)!
