  • I'm the same.
I have never really gone overboard to begin with and have never paid with credit so things are as always...

This year, though, we are spending slightly less on the kids, though... And I mean only slightly. They'll probably never know...

  • We are cutting back on other things, but not really here-- in fact we're spending a little more on family. They babysit for us and we've completely eliminated our sitter so it's only fair.

  • We are cutting back on the kids from YEARS of over buying... We are getting sick of plastic crap... The problem is that we have no clue at all what to get them!!! They need nothing but nothing!!!

  • well..I am half done shopping and I have stuck to the same budget so far as I have in years past. I always over spend on my parents and MIL but it's ok b/c they do so much for us ( not MIL but my parents) so I love giving them things at the holidays that they want.
I am spending more on the kids this year...we usually get smaller things from santa but this year I wanted them to have something they really wanted under the tree instead of getting it from another family I bought one of the bigger gifts instead of putting it on a family members list.

    I am happy so far!
