Wink Budget drains

What are your biggest budget drains? A recent thread discussed dining out and many of us are finding dining to be a budget drain. What else seems to siphon money from your budget?

I would have to household odd & ends, like the vacuum bags, cling wrap, tp, paper towels, laundry soap, envelopes, printer ink, and a million other things that fall into this category. I have a budget for this, but it always goes way too fast.

Right now it's maternity clothes.

In general, it's dining out! Also, gas for dh's car. He drives 70 miles a day. That's about it.

In the summertime, it is always our electricity bill. I can't stand to sleep in a warm house. So, our last PG&E was $700. That is actually a norm for July-Sept. I know it will get better once the cooler weather comes back.

Other than that, i would say odds and ends needed to run a household. It always seems as if one thing is running out, one thing is dying or something new seems as if it will better out lives. I go to target to pick up JUST household items and end up leaving with a $200 receipt in my hands. How in the world does that happen?! (rhetorical question

For us it is the cars-mostly dh's car. His car has over 150k miles on it and we are servicing it rather than buying a new one, which is still expensive (but not any where near as expensive as buying a new/used car since we own it outright).
