Angry Crap!!

It totally figures that this would happen while I am on maternity leave and my check is getting cut by a ton!
First the convergence went out on our TV it makes it look like we are watching 3D without the 3D glasses. They come tomorrow to tell us how much that will be to fix. THen today as DH is leaving for work this huge spring on our roll-up garage door breaks. He had to turn around and come back home because the door is too heavy for me to lift alone and I wouldn't have been able to get the car out to go get DD from school. I have a call in to the garage door guy, who knows how much that is going to cost. We have repair money but not enough to cover both of these things.

Oh no! I hope it's cheaper than you think.

ouch.

I hear that it's almost always cheaper to buy a new tv than to fix them

the spring...
yikes! we replaced our garage door in California and the overhead door guy was telling me how dangerous those springs were/are when they break!

That's crappy!!

The spring broke on our garage door and I found someone on Craigslist to repair it rather than replace it. We paid $60 instead of $300. That might be an option for you.

I hope the TV is a simple CHEAP fix, too!!

The garage door guy used to be our next door neighbor and he put the door in, so I am hoping he will cut us a deal.

The same thing went wrong with my sis' tv and bil tried to fix it himself because they couldn't afford to have it fixed. She said it is watchable but everything has a blue aura around it. What really sucks is because the picture is off the kids can't play the wii.
